Since the inception of the “Save the Limb” program in October 2022, we have been dedicated to helping veterans and civilians regain mobility and quality of life after suffering severe limb injuries. To date, we have saved or restored the function of 675 upper limbs and 870 lower limbs, bringing hope and a renewed sense of independence to those affected.
Our team of skilled orthopedic trauma doctors performs a variety of complex surgical interventions. Among these procedures, external fixation surgeries allow us to stabilize fractured bones, while arthroscopy provides minimally invasive solutions to joint injuries. Additionally, we have conducted hundreds of osteosynthesis procedures, where we align and stabilize broken bones, as well as more than 100 complex reconstructions for injuries that are otherwise difficult to treat. These surgeries, while varied, all contribute to one goal: restoring as much function as possible and enabling patients to reclaim their lives.
Behind these numbers are individual stories of resilience and recovery. Each patient we treat faces their own unique journey, and their courage inspires us to continue expanding our efforts. For many, the journey to recovery is long and challenging, but through advanced surgical methods and a strong support network, our program has been able to facilitate remarkable transformations. We are grateful to the donors, medical professionals, and volunteers who make it all possible.
