The “Save the Limb” program has built an extensive network of hospitals, doctors, and volunteers across Ukraine, working collaboratively to address the critical need for limb-preserving medical care. Our network now spans 70 healthcare facilities throughout the country, ensuring that even those in remote areas have access to specialized trauma care.

A key aspect of our program is the involvement of over 204 orthopedic and trauma specialists who participate actively in our initiatives. These doctors are equipped with advanced skills in treating limb injuries, thanks in part to the educational resources and training provided by the program. Each specialist in our network has performed at least one surgery as part of the program, contributing their expertise to save limbs and prevent further amputations.

Supporting these doctors is a vast team of over 1,500 medical volunteers, including other doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers. These volunteers play an essential role in our mission, offering logistical support, assisting in surgical procedures, and helping with patient care before, during, and after surgery. Their dedication enables the program to reach a larger number of patients and provides crucial support in the most challenging cases.

Moreover, our program has been instrumental in supporting the 296th military unit, whose members have sustained injuries in the line of duty. By collaborating with these units, we can address their specific medical needs and ensure that injured servicemen receive the best possible care.

Our network is not just about providing immediate medical assistance—it’s about creating a sustainable infrastructure for long-term healthcare improvement in Ukraine. Through our partnerships with hospitals, doctors, and volunteers, we aim to continue expanding our reach and enhancing the quality of limb-saving care.
